Informational purposes only
Always seek the advice of a qualified medical professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, treatment, or procedure. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information you have read on this website.
No doctor–patient relationship
Use of this website does not establish a doctor-patient relationship between you and Skinatomy Laser Clinic or any of its practitioners. A doctor-patient relationship is established only after an in-person consultation at our Mississauga clinic and the execution of appropriate medical consent forms.
Individual results vary
Cosmetic and medical aesthetic treatments produce different results in different patients. Outcomes depend on a wide range of factors including but not limited to: skin type, age, lifestyle, medical history, the specific treatment selected, the number of sessions completed, and adherence to pre- and post-treatment care instructions.
Before and after photographs and testimonials shown on this website represent the experiences of specific patients and are not a guarantee, promise, or warranty of similar results for any other patient. Your results may differ.
Treatment claims and approvals
Where this website references regulatory approvals — such as "FDA-approved" or "Health Canada-approved" — these statements refer to the regulatory clearance of the underlying device or product (for example, the Ultherapy® system, CoolSculpting® device, or specific dermal filler products). Such clearances apply to the product or device as approved for specific indications and do not constitute a guarantee of outcome for any individual patient.
Risks and side effects
All medical and cosmetic treatments carry some degree of risk. Common side effects of treatments offered at Skinatomy Laser Clinic may include but are not limited to: redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, temporary discomfort, and changes in skin sensation. Less common side effects vary by treatment and will be discussed in detail during your in-person consultation.
You will receive a written informed consent document specific to your treatment before any procedure is performed. That consent document contains the complete risk disclosure for your specific treatment. Please review it carefully and ask any questions before proceeding.
Treatment eligibility
Not every patient is a candidate for every treatment. Common reasons a patient may not be eligible include but are not limited to:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active skin infection at the treatment area
- Certain autoimmune or bleeding disorders
- Use of certain medications, including blood thinners, isotretinoin, or photosensitizing drugs
- A history of keloid scarring (for some procedures)
- Recent sun exposure or active tan (for laser treatments)
- Age under 18 — all cosmetic treatments at Skinatomy Laser Clinic require the patient to be a legal adult
Your candidacy for any specific treatment will be assessed during your in-person consultation. Please disclose your full medical history, current medications, and any allergies to your provider.
This is not a medical emergency service
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, do not use this website. Call 9-1-1 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately. Skinatomy Laser Clinic does not provide emergency medical care through the website or by phone.
