What it is

Long-term reduction across six to eight sessions. Hair grows in cycles, and the laser only treats actively growing follicles — so treatments are spaced to catch each cycle in turn. Individual results may vary.

We use three medical-grade platforms — Candela GentleYAG, LightSheer Diode, and Sciton ClearScan YAG — and match the wavelength to your skin type. The setting that's safe for fair skin is wrong for dark skin, and vice versa.

How it works

  1. 01

Concentrated light is absorbed by pigment in the follicle and converted to heat that disables it.

  2. 02

Only follicles in their active growth (anagen) phase respond — which is why a series is required to catch each cycle.

  3. 03

Regrowth slows and thins session-over-session; many patients are left with very little residual hair.

Is it for you?

A fit for you if…

  • Unwanted hair you'd rather stop maintaining
  • Patients ready to commit to a full series across 6–12 months
  • All Fitzpatrick skin types — we adjust the device, not the suitability

We'd recommend something else if…

  • Very light blonde, white, or grey hair (no pigment for the laser to target)
  • Active tan or recent sun exposure on the treatment area
  • Pregnancy, or use of photosensitising medications

What to expect

  • Pre-care: shave the area 12–24 hours before. No waxing, plucking, or threading between sessions.
  • Session: 15 minutes for a small area, up to 60 minutes for full body.
  • After: mild redness for a few hours. SPF on treated facial areas.

FAQ

  • How many sessions?

Six to eight, spaced four to eight weeks apart depending on the body area.

  • Is it truly permanent?

Health Canada and the FDA recognize laser hair removal as a long-term hair reduction treatment — many patients are left with very little residual hair, and occasional maintenance sessions handle any regrowth. Individual results vary.

  • Does it work on light or grey hair?

Laser hair removal needs pigment in the follicle to target. Very light, white, or grey hair responds poorly.
